More PSN Troubles for Sony

Sony’s month continues to get worse! another PR disaster has cropped up on the newly reinstated PSN

Sony’s PlayStation Network has again been compromised after hackers discovered a problem in the new password reset system that was recently brought online as part of Sony’s PSN relaunch after the 20+ days of downtime after the first attack.

This problem allows attackers to change a users password as long as they know the E-mail address and Date of Birth…. which is the data that was stolen last time, and lets face it I know all of my mates DOB and E-mail addresses so pranks could also be a problem.

To prevent further damage, Sony switched off all PSN sign-in portals across its websites, including Sony have told Eurogamer, “In the meantime you will still be able to sign into PSN via your PlayStation 3 and PSP devices to connect to game services and view Trophy/Friends information.”

Sony is currently fixing the issue, but if i were you I would change the e-mail address you have linked with the PSN, just to be safe
