Please Sponsor Iz ‘Tank Girl’ McAuliffe in the 2010 Cardiff Half Marathon for The Stroke Association

Last year you all  rose to the challenge brilliantly when Dave and I asked you to help raise money for the young daughter of fellow podcaster Eric Martin who had sadly died. I’m now asking for your help a second time to support Iz McAuliffe, a great friend of mine and my co-host on the Good Morning Geekdom podcast. She is also the co-host of the fab comics podcast Comic Racks. Rather than me trying to explain it all I’ll pass it over to the blurb from Iz’s Just Giving website.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Me and my sis lost our lovely dad to a stroke a few months ago, and I wanted to do something to try and help save other dad’s lives so I’m running for The Stroke Association who research into stroke prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and long-term care.

I’ve already started training and hope to be in top shape for October – I should be in good enough condition to do the run as Tank Girl 😀

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Whether its a little or a lot, now or after pay day, please donate – thank you so much 😀

Now I’m sure we all sadly know the pain that someone close to us  passing away can cause. Even though it’s been some time since my mum passed away a day doesn’t go by I don’t think of her. One of the things that great about having the GS podcast and the website is that we can do things like this as a community of like-minded people and do something good and cool for someone else. So it doesn’t matter if you give £1 or £100 quid please, please head over to Iz’s Just giving website and donate something today!

Do us proud all!
