Press Release – Creators and stars of hit web series Riese to attend London MCM Expo – 29/30 May @ Excel‏

I’ve not finished watching the web series Riese but I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen so far so the news of panel being hosted at this year’s London MCM Expo is great news indeed.

The cast and crew of acclaimed steampunk web series Riese will be hosting a panel at the upcoming London MCM Expo, the event’s organisers have announced.

SyFy recently acquired the US rights to the popular sci-fi fantasy series for and potential TV development, following the channel’s success with fellow web show turned TV drama Sanctuary. Riese was in the news again this month when it scooped Best Cinematography in a Web Series at the Streamys, the online Oscars.

The London MCM Expo panel will feature show creators Ryan Copple and Kaleena Kiff, as well as stars Christine Chantelain (Riese) and Sharon Taylor (Amara). Christine has appeared recently in Fringe, Supernatural and Sanctuary, while Sharon plays Amelia Banks in Stargate Atlantis and Faora in Smallville.

The Riese cast and crew are set to attend both days of the London MCM Expo, which takes place at London’s Excel Centre on 29/30 May. They join a growing list of special guests announced for the upcoming show, including:

Ron D Moore – Executive producer on Caprica, also known for his work on Battlestar Galactica, Carnivale, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Joining Ron on the Caprica panel will be the sci-fi show’s star, Esai Morales, who has also appeared in popular series such as NYPD Blue, Jericho, Vanished & 24.

Alaina Huffman – currently appearing on our screens as Tamara Johansen in Stargate Universe, Alaina is already well know to sci-fi fans for her role as Dunah Lance, aka the Black Canary, in Smallville.

Alongside Alaina will be Stargate Universe co-star, Jamil Walker Smith. Jamil plays Ronald Greer on SGU and has also appeared in Bones, Cold Case & Medium.

Kyle Hebert – leading anime and videogame voice artist, most recently lent his voice to Ryu (Street Fighter IV), Kamina (Gurren Lagann), Kiba (Naruto), Vato (Full Metal Alchemist) and Aizen (Bleach).
